Mike the Terrible decapitates his subjects this week. I think the humor is lost in the first one with all that dead space. I can't make anything out of #3, and why are those guys saluting a naked flagpole? The reflection doesn't read for me, maybe this monitor is to dark. All in all, it feels kind of repetetive from one pic to the next. That being said, your stuff in the paper looked good, even considering you were working with a 400 at that black hole of a field, definately the worst conditions you will face down here.

I feel like you are trying to hard to make photographs, and in doing so you are missing the real image which may not be a pulitzer but tells more of the story. Sometimes the everyday is extraordinary...don't be afraid to show that to me. I will say that the first photo seems interesting, but the crop (you know me) really hurts the humor of the photo. I feel like I need to see more of the player.

Well, I'm not going to pile with the other guys but they raise good points. However, its good to explore the abstract on every assignment. 9 out 10 times it will yeild nil but that one is worth your time. Hell it only takes a 60th of second why not? In this case the staight forward photo (the ridiculously flexible cheerleader) was the one that stands out.
