I understand how hit and miss campaign coverage can be...I like the feel of your images and they all seem to have a nice documentary feel but I can't help feel that each of them are "almosts." I appreciate that even with the limitations the campaign gave you, you tried to find a photo and really worked the scene.
Top: you were in a nice spot but its the wrong moment. Plus wider doesn't mean better. next: This feels really forced. Its feels really cramped and in this context you need more breathing room for the idea.

Next: Why crop his head? Is his torso that iconic?
Last: Way two many elements to distract and nothing to unify them.
