


Participants in the sixth annual Dolphin Dip run into the frigid ocean at Surf City on New Years Day, Jan. 1, 2008. Organizers estimated about a thousand people ran into the 60-degree water. The event raised money for the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

haha. when i was talking to you on the phone today, i thought you said you photographed a polar bear plunge. not a people plunge. i couldn't understand why you were so nonchalant about the assignment....
